Dr. Martin Müller

Geneva Science & Diplomacy Anticipator

As Executive Director Science Anticipator, Martin Müller leads the science-based anticipation pipeline at the Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator (GESDA) – a young independent foundation in Geneva initiated by the Swiss federal government and the State and City of Geneva. In this capacity he established and developed the GESDA Science Breakthrough Radar, a landmark report compiling the experts insights of over 1500 scientists about breakthroughs in science and technology at 5, 10 and 25 years with transformative impacts on people, society and the planet. Before joining GESDA as the foundation was established in 2019, Dr Müller was heading SwissCore – the Swiss Contact Office for Education, Research and Innovation (ERI) – in Brussels and worked at the interface of science, science policy and diplomacy, strengthening the ties between Switzerland and the European Union. Dr Müller studied Communication Systems at EPFL and obtained his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from ETH Zurich in 2012.
