Prof. Shermon Cruz

Shermon Cruz is the CEO and Chief Futurist of the Center for Engaged Foresight, a strategic foresight and innovation consulting company with global operations based in Manila and the UNESCO Chair on Anticipatory Governance and Regenerative Cities at Northwestern University. He is currently the Chair of the Association of Professional Futurists, Chair of The Millennium Project Philippines Node, and a co-founding member of the Global Future Society. He has worked and advanced futures and foresight in over 30 countries, collaborating with the best in the futures studies and strategic foresight field, and has served and provided support to over a hundred corporate, government, communities, and not-for-profit organizations and clients worldwide. He has previously worked with PwC, EY, Accenture, John Clements Consulting, the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Aboitiz, SM Malls, the Asian Development Bank, The Cities Today Institute, Asian Institute of Management, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, OECD, RTI Innovation Advisors, the Philippine Senate, UNDP, UNFCC, UNHCR, UNESCO, UNICEF, East-West Leadership Academy, USAID, and the Government of the Philippines National Academy of Science and Technology, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Health, TESDA, The Philippine Navy, The National Intelligence Coordinating Agency, Commission on Higher Education, Department of Education, Development Academy of the Philippines, The Armed Forces of the Philippines, Government of Indonesia, Government of Malaysia, Government of Laos, Government of Uruguay, the Al Madinah Regional Development Authority of the Government of Saudi Arabia to name a few. His most recent work is the globally acclaimed scenario-building, imagination, and emergence card game Dreams and Disruptions.
